Miri, 21 October 2025 – As part of the UMAMI 2025 Campaign, RIAMTEC, in collaboration with UMAMI, successfully organised the Basic F&B Handling and Business Course. This half-day training programme was designed to empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and first-time entrepreneurs with the essential skills to thrive in Malaysia’s dynamic food and beverage (F&B) industry.
The session, held at RIAMTEC, was led by Chef Leo, who shared his professional expertise and practical knowledge on food safety, regulatory compliance, and the fundamentals of running an F&B business. Participants gained valuable insights into:
Basic food handling practices
Key F&B regulations in Malaysia
Operational fundamentals for new businesses
Practical strategies to strengthen local ventures
Entrepreneurs selected through UMAMI, along with local business representatives, took part enthusiastically in the programme.
